アカデミー短編映画賞

アカデミー短編映画賞 (あかでみーたんぺんえいがしょう、Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film)は、アカデミー賞のいち部門。

その年のアメリカで上映された最も優れた短編映画にこの名誉が与えられる。第5回から始まり、第5回から第8回までは、「短編コメディ」と「短編ノベルティ」の2部門に分かれており、それぞれ3本ずつ候補作が選ばれていた。第9回と第10回では、「短編カラー」と「短編一巻」と「短編二巻」の3部門に分かれていたが、第11回から第29回までは、「短編カラー」がなくなり「短編一巻」と「短編二巻」の2部門になり、第30回からは一本化されて選ぶようになった。

ノミネート条件

短編映画賞へのノミネートについては、通常のアカデミー賞へのノミネート条件以外に追加条件がある。

作品の長さは40分未満。
上映はロサンゼルスもしくはニューヨーク・マンハッタン地区のどちらかで行われればよい（但し、映画芸術科学アカデミーが公認した映画祭でグランプリを受賞すれば、上記の地区で上映されずともノミネート資格を得られる）。
上映は1日1回行えばよい。
テレビ放映・インターネット配信が禁止されるのは「公開初日から起算して60日間」。
