Writesonic

Writesonic is a company that develops artificial intelligence tools for content creation. It was founded by Samanyou Garg in October 2020 and is based in San Francisco. The platform uses GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 technologies.

History

Originally known as Magicflow, Writesonic secured seed funding of $2.5 million from various investors, including Y-Combinator, HOF Capital, and Soma Capital. The company's technology is designed to generate content using AI models.

Controversy

Following the Academy Award win for the documentary "Navalny," The Grayzone published an article by Lucy Komisar that criticized the film. The article, which included inaccuracies, was identified as having been generated using Writesonic's AI content software. Lucy Komisar stated that her use of information was derived from the platforms "Chatsonic" capabilities, which were advertised to write content based on Google search results.
