Claye-Souilly (French pronunciation: [klɛ suji] ) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France.

Demography

The inhabitants are called Clayois.

  • Jules de Polignac (1745-1817) was born here in 1745. He was the husband of Madame de Polignac, friend of Marie Antoinette.
